Individuals in leadership positions play a key role in guiding internal and external stakeholder groups through times of disruption. This session will discuss the practice of adaptive leadership, in the context of the Institutional Advancement (IA) field, to provide a framework for managing chaos, uncertainty, and rapid change. It will explore how IA professionals who currently hold—or aspire to—leadership roles can engage in ongoing self-reflection to sustain their own leadership practice, manage stress on internal and external stakeholder groups, and build organizational capacity to successfully navigate short- and long-term challenges.
