Photography: Series or Collection of Related Photographs
Entries should be a collection of at least three but no more than seven related photographs (color and/or black and white) that tell a story on their own or are used to illustrate a story, or promote some aspect of the institution. The photos must have been used for some institutional purpose, such as in a print publication, or on a website. The photos may have been taken by anyone affiliated with the institution, including students, staff and freelance photographers. The photos do not have to all have been taken by the same photographer.
In addition to submitting the individual photos, also show how they were used (such as in a publication or on a website).
For example:
Community service photos for use in a newsletter
Student life photos for use in a viewbook
Photos showcasing a specific program or service for use in a brochure or online
Do not enter:
More than seven photos.
Photo illustrations or mixed media. Enter those in the Design: Illustrations category.
Individual or group portraits. Enter those in Photography: Portraits.
Judges will score nominations from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest) in these five areas:
Ability to tell/contribute to the story or subject
Composition
Creativity
Effectiveness of use
Technical quality
Judges also may consider:
Quality and clarity of nomination and supporting materials
Special circumstances/overcoming adversity
