As director of corporate and foundation relations for the University of Vermont Foundation, Alexa Woodward established the first corporate and foundation relations office at the university. Within three years of building the campus wide CFR effort, the university celebrated the MassMutual Center of Excellence in Complex Systems and Data Science as our largest single corporate gift in UVM's history. Prior to working at UVM, Woodward was Director of Program Development at Clemson University, working with the Vice President for Economic Development (Now the office of Corporate Partnerships and Stragetic Initiatives). In that role she helped drive public private partnerships at Clemson's Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR), and the SCE&G Energy Innovation Center, two award winning public-private partnerships. Her background in law and economic development informs her work with companies and brings a unique perspective to the development of strategic partnerships.
