In 2016, VCU started working with two local fundraising organizations to create a pipeline program for supplying new fundraisers in the community. The result of the research and collaboration is a new course, Foundations in Fundraising, which will become the basic course of a new certificate/minor in fundraising in the L. Douglas WIlder School of Public Administration. This 16-week course is open to undergraduates of all majors, and to date, almost 30 students completed the class, with 25% entering into development positions.
