The Good is a monthly, mini-podcast (less than 20 minutes) with a focus on sharing good news and conversation-starters about the college and alumni communities. Each episode features three segments: an NPR-style feature with sound-rich interviews (student, faculty member or alumnus); an NPR Sunday Puzzle-inspired brain-teaser segment written by a math professor/trivia aficionado that’s meant to challenge and engage listeners; and a brief conversation with President Margee Ensign, which gives alumni an opportunity to connect with her regularly.
From the Judges
As an avid podcast listener, I have often wondered how universities could put together audio stories. I was very impressed with the NPR-like quality of their podcast, both in content and production. They are also tackling issues like the legacy of slavery, which is critical in higher education right now.
