Affordability is one of the biggest challenges facing Kansas State University students and their families today. In order to attack the issue of affordability, we needed to not only increase the number of privately funded scholarships for K-State students, but also grow K-State’s donor base and inspire them to create endowed scholarships. In response, the KSU Foundation created the K-State Family Scholarship, a matching gift program that has immediately increased the number of endowed scholarships — major gift donors — at Kansas State University.
