The purpose of this article is to honor and celebrate the life of Dr. Nancy Hightower, who served as River Oaks Baptist School’s revered head of school for 22 years. Dr. Hightower is widely regarded as the driving force behind ROBS' transformation into one of the premier schools in the region. Her legacy includes not only academic excellence, but also a robust character education program that distinguishes ROBS from the main schools with which it competes. Under her leadership, the school was recognized as a National School of Character and a Blue Ribbon School.
