A Ways and Means Podcast Series: “New Ideas for Policy in the Developing World"
From the Nominator
Ways & Means is a documentary-style podcast. For our third season, we created a series called “New Ideas for Policy in the Developing World.” We recorded an interview with a woman who lived in a slum in Bangalore, India, that was all but invisible to policymakers. We recorded in an elementary school in Kenya that is trying a new method for helping orphans deal with grief. We recorded a doctor in India who told an incredible story about the night she had to give her own blood to save a patient’s life.
From the Judges
Use of people on the ground in communities throughout the world makes for a compelling campaign. Good diversity in subject matter and the documentary style podcast is far more engaging.
