Some people look in the mirror and think they’re facing a monster. This story covers Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), a curse that’s on the rise thanks to new technologies. The image we have of our bodies begins to take shape based on other people’s judgments or evaluations at about the age of five. Experts say that by the age of seven we become vulnerable to feelings of discomfort about our appearance. The problem reaches a head in adolescence.
