On Aug. 3, 2019, the city of El Paso experienced one of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history. In the days and months that followed, true to its neighborly and giving culture, the city came together to memorialize the lives lost, while grieving together. This series of photographs captures the loving spirit of a community that lost so much that day, and was used to illustrate the city’s resilience in the fall/winter 2019 edition of TTUHSC El Paso Alumni & Friends, our university’s alumni magazine.
