The CEO Story: An Experiential Storyboard

The Indian School of Business has a global alumni community spanning more than 60 countries and 400 cities. They enthusiastically engage and frequently volunteer with the school through myriad impactful initiatives. A substantial percentage of PGPMAX (global EMBA equivalent) alumni are in C-suite and senior leadership positions in multinational corporations. “The CEO story” is a novel initiative designed and developed by the office of alumni engagement at ISB to exclusively engage this exceptional alumni pool to share their successful journeys with prospects, in collaboration with admissions team.
The PGPMAX programme, ranked in the top 50 by The Economist in global EMBAs, is best suited for senior professionals with 10+ years of work experience. The alumni engagement team identified and invited the right set of CXO alumni to share their programme experience, professional pursuits, and leadership journeys with prospects. This initiative was kickstarted as in-person interactive sessions executed in major cities of India, garnering extremely encouraging attendance and leads.
The CEO Story format was redefined in response to the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and moved to a digital platform. This new format created pristine avenues beyond geographies, and provided the opportunity to engage with international alumni. The alumni engagement team adapted the event to a panel discussion format, with senior alumni from across the globe. This change culminated in a humungous leap in leads, logins, and applications. The CEO Story evolved as best practice, and was adopted by other modular programs, with attendance numbers surpassing other outreach events.
