Bio

Colleen Dolak, the annual fund manager at Montgomery College has been working in academia for over 12 years. Colleen joined Montgomery College in 2011 supporting academic departments, and ultimately, the senior vice president for Advancement and Community Engagement. In 2017, Colleen moved into alumni relations where she managed events and stewarded volunteers. Currently, Colleen manages the direct mail program, regular gifts which come from individuals and organizations, and connects employees, alumni, and outside clubs and organizations to support various scholarships and student emergency aid. Colleen holds a bachelor's in communications from the University of Notre Dame of Maryland and an MS in nonprofit and association management at the University of Maryland. Upneet Atwal is currently a Senior Legislative Aide to County Council President Tom Hucker in Montgomery County, Maryland where he leads Planning and Transportation portfolios, and assists on the Economic Development and Education portfolios. Upneet graduated Montgomery College in 2016, received a B.A. in Business Management from the Smith School at Maryland and completed his Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from Georgetown University this past May. Upneet serves on the MC alumni association’s Board of Governors where he is active in the mentoring program.
