New Directions in Funding for the Social Good
Two Public Interest Technology University Network institutions and two philanthropic funders will share their experiences in successfully translating the dynamic intersection of technology, social progress into new funding streams that sync up to a funders value approach and incentives to funding. Each of the institutions can speak to the development of capacity building to support programs that encourage students who seek employment in government, NGOs and private sectors. We want you to expand your toolkit with best practices and lessons that will help you craft your school’s value proposition in this space and translate public interest technology practices and initiatives at your institution into diverse funding streams.
To assist in expanding your toolkit, the two funders will share the value approach when investing in emerging technology for the social good. They understand the wave of unprecedented investment promises to remake the infrastructure of how colleges and universities access funding to create a talent infrastructure to deliver on this growth. This panel understands this opportunity and its challenges in leveraging these funds in the service of initiatives and programs that are in the heart of educating young people in the service of the greater good.
