Kansas City Kansas Community College launched the largest capital campaign in the College’s 100-year history for $62,000,000 three years ago. A public/private fundraising partnership the Centennial Path Campaign was a collaborative effort with a federally qualified health care organization (FQHC) Swope Health and a private credit union (Community America Credit Union). Over the course of three years, Mary Spangler, Executive Director of Kansas City Kansas Community College Foundation and the Foundation’s fundraising consultant firm Byrne Pelofsky + Associates, LLC will describe the successes and challenges of the fundraising journey toward reaching the capital campaign goals.
