A case study on the creation of a Black Alumni Association at Mount Saint Mary’s University Los Angeles. Learn the steps taken to engage the campus partners and alumni community to create an official organization dedicated to strengthening the Black community, supporting members of the Black Diaspora, building a professional network and serving as an important voice for the community. Attendees will learn ways to understand your institutions history, ways to gather input from alumni, recruit board members and engage campus partners with the goal of creating institutionalized support for students and alumni.
