Additional masterclass- Accelerating Ambitions: UK trends to inspire advancement functions around the world
Despite the turbulences of the last decade in the UK, giving to the British higher education sector has doubled since 2012. Naturally Oxford and Cambridge lead the pack with record-breaking performances but other ambitious institutions, with smaller and less experienced teams are changing gear and making philanthropy a vital engine to their development. In their landmark report published last Summer “Accelerating Ambitions: a decade of giving to higher education and how it informs the future”? CASE and fundraising consultancy More Partnership offer renewed insights into what is key in philanthropic growth and where the potential to do more and better lies in the future.
During this masterclass, More Partners Maarten Vervaat and Vérane Castelnau together with Caroline Davis, CASE’s Co-Executive Director, will share and discuss the main findings of this report and what they mean for our advancement operations and strategies in continental Europe. More than a “state of the affairs” analysis, this work offers practical advice to institutions at different stages of their philanthropic and engagement journey. Through case studies and group discussions, we will come away with something inspiring to try and implement and to accelerate our own ambitions.
