The B Word: How to Handle Third-Party Gifts
Yes, The B word. In a world where our gift processing ecosystem is evolving it is important for our units to be equipped to support fundraising efforts that will surely include third-party gifts. These include matching gifts, donor-advised and donor-directed gifts, as well as crowdfunding, social media campaigns and others. We will share best practices on how to handle these gifts within different databases while navigating how to create appropriate policies and procedures that will work for your organizations.

Advancement services teams are often asked to track and report on our colleagues’ performance metrics, but what about KPIs for us? Join us to talk about metrics for advancement services to help you demonstrate accountability for your work; spot areas of concern so you can adjust your strategies; and measure and highlight success to drive buy in and investment to advancement services. We’ll cover how to develop your advancement services KPIs from design to implementation to evaluation.

Receipts, Reminders, and How to Save the Trees
Digitizing from more manual paper processes is an important opportunity to help with effective processing. While creating sustainable office practices may often be the last on your list when juggling other competing priorities, it is an important focus. In this session, we will discuss the benefit and process for implementing electronic receipts, managing pledge reminders and how to create digital first solutions all while saving some dollars and some trees.
