4. Making it Irresistible: Reimagining How We Inspire Support from Our Communities
With examples from around the world, we will investigate the principles, practices and approaches that most effectively inspire support from our alumni and wider audiences. Travelling from Australia to South Africa, via Germany and the UK (then safely back to the Nordic countries), together we will explore how institutions are inspiring engagement from their communities to advance great their ambitions.
This session will look at strategic approaches but also outline many practical approaches that are proven to work – including how to present your institution as a cause, fundraising and volunteering programmes that inspire engagement, segmenting and targeting your audiences, and harnessing data to fuel supporter journeys. With plenty of time, for attendees to share their own experiences and insights, we’ll leave with new ideas, practical applications and inspiration.
