Dan DeWeerdt has more than 15 years of higher education experience at Marquette University, where he currently serves as senior director, Marquette Mentors and Engagement. He leads alumni career development initiatives engaging Marquette students with alumni, including Marquette Mentors, the 2019 CASE Circle of Excellence silver award recipient for student-alumni initiatives that CASE has also called the "gold standard for mentoring initiatives." Prior to Marquette, he served for several years at marketing agencies where he was involved with several award-winning public relations campaigns for clients such as McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, and the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. Previous experience also includes leading marketing and communication for one of the nation’s largest united performing arts funds and serving as assistant general manager of a minor league baseball team.
