Bio

I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2020 after completing a degree in Anthropology. I thoroughly enjoyed my time studying Anthropology, I have always held an interest in people and been curious to understand the hidden meanings behind certain customs and practices. I’m looking forward to applying the analytical skills I gained when examining social issues on this programme.

Since graduating, I have been working at Clarks Shoes in Birmingham City Centre. The varied nature of the job, interacting with customers and working as part of a team are things I have really enjoyed. I learnt a lot from my time in retail. However, since getting involved in fundraising projects at University, it has been my desire to work in the third sector. I am really excited to start this graduate programme and begin a career supporting charitable causes. Prior to discovering my passion for fundraising at University, I was keen to work in education – a career in advancement seems a perfect combination for my interests!

Outside of studying and work, my main interests are music, sports, history & culture. I love discovering music and in recent years I have started DJing at bar events and nightclubs. At University, myself, and some friends with a shared love for electronic music organised a series of events to fundraise for various charities including Love Music Hate Racism and Let’s Feed Brum, a charity focused on providing food for homeless community in Birmingham. I found helping in the organisation and performing at these events very fulfilling and it is definitely something I would like to continue in Bristol. It was during these events when I first realised my passion for fundraising, I can’t wait to start the training programme and expand my fundraising experience further.
