Holly Johnson is the executive director of institutional advancement at Hawkeye Community College. Having also previously worked in four-year public and private institutions, she understands the unique challenges of various different student aid scenarios, and the scarcity of resources to help the most vulnerable students. As a doctoral student at Iowa State University, she is passionate about research in this area, and has used her research to create a growing number emergency aid resources at Hawkeye Community College. Through collaboration, partnerships, fundraising, and grants, the college has been able to annually serve an increasing number of student emergency needs since 2015.
