Bio

Jason Weedon joined CEU’s Development team in August 2016. Prior to re-joining CEU, he served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Relations & Strategic Partnerships at Achieve, a Washington, DC-based education reform organization, which he joined in 1999. Weedon helped Achieve double its size and diversify its funding base, managing relationships with major foundations, corporations and philanthropic organizations, and helping to win a $186 million Race to the Top assessment award in 2010. During this time he also led the Business Center for a College- and Career-Ready America, which helps business leaders strategically support college and career readiness at the state and local levels. Previously, he taught English and academic writing at the high school, college and graduate levels. While on the language faculty at Central European University (1997-1999), he also served as Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator. Weedon holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from George Washington University and a bachelor’s in history and English from the College of William and Mary. He serves on several boards, including the national board of Young Education Professionals.
