Kelsey Anglin
One Source Strategy
2018 Distinguished Service Award Recipient
For many years, Kelsey Anglin has been a reliable, often behind-the-scenes fixture at the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VIII annual conference. But it’s far more than his formal role as a partner-vendor that has earned him the District’s esteemed Distinguished Service Award for 2018.
“The support for conferring this award on Kelsey was unanimous among the board,” said Mark Koenig, chair of the CASE District VIII Board. “We simply can’t imagine trying to serve our membership without Kelsey.”
This praise from the CASE District VIII board comes with gratitude and respect for Kelsey’s energizing partnership, tireless service and collaborative spirit.
“What we get to do with CASE is exciting because it helps to advance an important mission,” said Kelsey. A former employee of the Oregon State University Foundation, Kelsey still feels a special connection to the importance of educational advancement and said it is an honor to be recognized for serving this community. Through his company, OneSource Strategy (née Anglin Creative), Kelsey has produced the regional conference since 2013.
“Kelsey has consistently provided our conference planning volunteers from institutions throughout the District his guidance as a guest-experience expert and as someone who is knowledgeable about the field of advancement,” said Brian Bowman, incoming chair of the CASE District VIII Board. “His deep understanding of our work makes him uniquely qualified to help increase our impact, which he has.”
While they without a doubt benefit from Kelsey’s creativity and attention to detail, what conference attendees may not necessarily see is his commitment to the District that rises far beyond conference production.
“On our behalf, Kelsey has negotiated lower-cost contracts with the hotels that host the conferences, managed all conference-related vendor relationships, fulfilled onsite obligations to sponsors and exhibitors, identified opportunities to streamline efforts and align strategies, and elevated our conference’s overall value as a service to attendees,” said Teresa Koeppel, marketing and communications chair of the CASE District VIII Board. “All that, and somehow he’s also a fanatic when it comes to details.”
