My fundraising career began in the charity sector; in previous roles I led the Philanthropy Teams at two of the UK's largest charities, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, and the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. At the RNLI I gained significant experience in leading teams remotely, with colleagues based right across the UK. Part of my remit at Guide Dogs was setting up a major donor programme effectively from scratch, to prepare the organisation for its first significant capital campaign. 

I joined the University of Oxford in March 2020 (just six days before lockdown!) as Senior Development Executive for Physics. Oxford's Department of Physics has ambitious fundraising aspirations for the next few years, and I work closely with senior academics to help realise these.

Outside of work, I am a trustee of a small charity which supports people with learning disabilities by providing training and work experience. I hold a degree in English Literature from the University of Exeter.
