Bio

Mark started out in fundraising back at the end of the 1980s at Actionaid, before moving on to the YMCA where he eventually became Head of Fundraising. Mark set up Bluefrog in 1997 and still manages it now.

His key interest is in understanding what donors want and need from charities. He focuses on building relationships with donors that have an active connection / interest with a cause. We don’t look at acquisition or retention or legacies in isolation but focus on understanding how donors want to support the work of charities at different times in their lives. We then create the communication programmes that answer their needs and engage them for life with the causes that they care about.
