Miriam Bradley serves as Director of Global Development at the University of Virginia.  In this central advancement role since 2017, she is chief development officer for the University’s global campaign priorities and works closely with schools and units to raise global funds across the University.

Prior to UVA, Miriam spent almost 7 years at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro (UNCG), first as director of development for Student Affairs where she launched a major gifts program, led and completed a fundraising campaign for the historic residential quadrangle’s renovation, and catalyzed alumni volunteer committees around affinity groups.  She later oversaw fundraising efforts for need-based scholarships, faculty development, international programs, and strategic campaign planning with the boards and staff of the university’s Weatherspoon Art Museum.

Cultural exchange has been at the center of Miriam’s prior work with arts and arts education organizations in Washington, DC, Virginia and North Carolina.  She has performed in France and Austria and lived in Egypt.  She began her career in contracts and strategic communications at an international consulting group after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and music from the University of Richmond.  In 2016 she earned the Certified Fundraising Executive credential from CFRE International and in 2015 earned the General Management Program certificate from UNCG’s Bryan School of Business and Economics.
