CASE Europe award six Crystal Apples to outstanding CASE volunteers in 2023
The Crystal Apple Award for Teaching Excellence is bestowed on volunteers who have achieved outstanding performance at 10 or more CASE international educational programmes.
We are delighted to announce that six advancement professionals from the Europe region were awarded Crystal Apples over the past year, recognising their significant contributions as CASE volunteers:
- Rachel Brown, Head of Fundraising and Alumni Relations, University of Plymouth
- Karen Cairney, Founder, Cairney & Co
- Siôn Lutley, Partner, More Partnership
- Gavin Maggs, Director of Development and Alumni Relationships, University of Birmingham
- Liz Reilly, Partner, More Partnership
- Emily Robin, Associate Dean, London Business School
CASE Senior Director, Global Programmes Strategy and Delivery, Rich Nicholl offers his congratulations:
“Each session delivered at a CASE conference is scored by participants, so the award of a Crystal Apple is a reflection of sustained excellent teaching across a number of CASE programmes and a testament to the impact a volunteer has made on the next generation of advancement professionals.
“It is always a pleasure to work with our volunteer committees and speakers on CASE programming. The openness and commitment shown by colleagues across the sector continues to be a reminder of how inspiring our sector is.”
Caroline Davis, Co-Executive Director for CASE Europe, added: “Warmest congratulations to our 2023 Crystal Apple recipients. Rachel, Siôn, Karen, Gavin, Liz and Emily have consistently gone above and beyond to support the professional development of others and deserve the highest recognition, along with our sincere gratitude.
"Our volunteers often describe their experience of leading programmes as uplifting and inspiring. If you’re looking for a rewarding opportunity for yourself in 2024 and are keen to share what you’ve learnt through your own career journey to benefit others, please do consider volunteering with CASE.”
Opportunities are now open to submit a proposal to speak at our next CASE Europe Annual Conference. For more information on the process, including top tips for designing your session proposal, please see our website.
