CASE Statement on COVID-19
The coronavirus pandemic has altered every aspect of our lives. All around the world, advancement professionals are sheltering in place while continuing to serve the fundraising, alumni relations, marketing communications, and advancement services needs of the schools, colleges, and universities that they support. As the response to the pandemic has shifted from crisis response to institutional planning, CASE has provided the means for our members to connect with each other, discuss possible options, and review various alternatives for the teaching and learning that is at the core of our mission. In this changing landscape, CASE has continued to develop new opportunities for personal exchange, professional development, and community-building aligned with the needs of our members and the institutions they serve.
Safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our volunteers, members, and staff during this pandemic continues to be our #1 priority. Following the guidance of public health agencies and governmental bodies around the globe, CASE has transitioned all in-person events through December 2020 to online delivery. Details are available here. In addition to this array of online conferences, webinars, seminars, and other educational offerings, you can use this source to access information regarding community-building events such as CASE ToGathers, thought leadership in podcast form in CASE xChange, and other resources.
All CASE offices remain closed, based on the public health directives being issued in London, Mexico City, Singapore, and Washington DC. CASE staff remain remarkably productive working from a variety of home offices, relying on a robust suite of technological supports to keep us connected and coordinated. We also continue to provide relevant resources to educational institutions worldwide through our COVID-19 resources page (available to members and non-members alike) and our CASE communities.
Throughout this crisis, CASE members remain proud of the role they play advancing education to transform lives and society. Incoming messages from CASE members and other representatives of the education sector remain relentlessly positive in regard to the importance of education in these challenging times. Everyone at CASE is incredibly grateful for the support and encouragement you have given us. Our mission is more important now than ever. We are proud to be on this journey with you.
