Deadline Extended: Submit Your Comments on the CASE Global Reporting Standards and Management Guidelines
Developed by educational advancement professionals from a broad range of institutions and organizations, the CASE Global Reporting Standards and Management Guidelines provide a common set of definitions and standards for reporting the results of fundraising activities at global educational institutions, while also providing important management guidelines for campaigns and other key topics.
CASE invites its members to provide their thoughts and comments on the proposed changes so CASE can ensure the CASE Global Reporting Standards and Management Guidelines are informed by as many professionals, practitioners, and voices as possible by April 3, 2020. Feel free to share with your advancement services teams as you compile your institutional response.
The CASE Reporting Standards and Management Guidelines Working Group has not provided content which remains largely intact from the last edition, but rather seeks feedback on those sections of editorial content which are new or significantly changed from the last edition.
At the direction of the CASE Board of Trustees and in fulfillment of CASE’s strategic plan, the CRSMG Working Group has been meeting in person and remotely over the past 18 months to review and update the Reporting Standards and Management Guidelines, aligning them with other global efforts like the CASE-Ross survey to create the first set of Global Reporting Standards and Management Guidelines for the profession.
The most recent revision before this one occurred more than a decade ago. Meanwhile, the CASE-Ross survey instrument has been developed and is now used in three other geographies across the world.
The CRSMG Working Group is representative of all institutions in the CASE membership and they endeavored to represent the interests of the entire profession in their work and deliberations.
The group members followed best practices to develop a set of standards and guidelines which help to ensure consistent and transparent reporting of institutional fundraising and alumni engagement by revisiting longstanding areas in advancement and exploring those new areas that have emerged in recent years.
Those amendments—whole new sections in some cases—have been compiled, consolidated, reviewed, and vetted and are now entering a member comment period, the last phase in this rigorous editorial process.
Thank you in advance for your attention and input. If you seek to contact CASE or a working group member directly about anything, you may do so by sending an email to standards@case.org.
