Former New York City Mayor to Give Keynote at Summit 2018
Prominent entrepreneur, philanthropist and former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg will speak at the 2018 Summit for Leaders in Advancement, July 15-17, in New York City.
Bloomberg, who is also the founder of Bloomberg LP and Bloomberg Philanthropies, will join other notable speakers at this year's conference. For the keynote, he'll talk with Ron Daniels, president of Johns Hopkins University.
Summit 2018 will also feature a panel keynote titled, "#MeToo: Creating a Culture of Zero Tolerance," with Mary Sue Coleman, president of Association of American Universities; James T. Harris, president of University of San Diego and chair of CASE Board of Trustees; and Peter Hayashida, vice chancellor for university advancement at University of California. This session will be moderated by CASE President and CEO Sue Cunningham.
Other key sessions at this year's Summit include:
- "The Future of Education: Technology, Globalization and Transformation," given by Fareed Zakaria, columnist, CNN host and global thinker;
- "Innovation Is Not Brain Surgery," from Tina Seelig, professor of the practice at Stanford University's department of management science and engineering and faculty director of its Technology Venture Program;
- "The Loyalty Switch," from loyalty expert James Kane; and
- "Agility and Strategic Execution," from Kathy Pearson, professor at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
