Highlighting the 2022 Circle of Excellence Awards Winners
CASE’s Circle of Excellence Awards, announced in June, recognized 636 entries with honors in bronze, silver, gold, and the prestigious Grand Gold categories. The awards drew 4,510 entries from 636 institutions in nearly 30 countries around the world.
The COE program spotlights best practices and innovation by showcasing outstanding fundraising campaigns, magazines, alumni relations programs, and so much more.
“Our CASE Circle of Excellence Awards celebrate the creative, resourceful, and innovative ways advancement professionals around the globe champion their institutions’ success,” says CASE President and CEO Sue Cunningham. “Advancement has never been more important to support and strengthen education. These 2022 Circle of Excellence recipients—from institutions and teams of all sizes and shapes, from regions across the world—showcase how advancement empowers teaching and learning, ignites institutional progress, and helps communities thrive. I hope you take the opportunity to explore these award winners and become inspired.”
CASE’s Circle of Excellence Awards are the premier recognition program for educational advancement. These peer-selected and adjudicated awards honor colleges, universities, and schools worldwide whose talented staff have advanced their organizations with resourcefulness and ingenuity. CASE enlisted 630 volunteer judges from member institutions who are the backbone of the program.
Winners were selected based on several factors, including overall quality, innovation, use of resources and the impact on the institution or its external and internal communities, such as alumni, parents, students, faculty, and staff.
CASE revamped the program this year based on feedback from the Awards Task Force, adding two new categories: leadership and engagement, along with more video and online events categories. The entry process was streamlined and made more affordable.
One of the most anticipated COE awards is the Robert Sibley Magazine of the Year. Milton magazine from Milton Academy in Massachusetts, U.S., received the 2022 award, marking the first time in the 79-year history of the award that an independent school took home the prestigious honor.
The judges noted, “Milton Magazine is that rare mix of big ambition and high-level execution.” The judges admired both the story choices and concepts, as well as the depth and dimension of the storytelling and graphic design.
More to Come!
This year, each Circle of Excellence nomination has the opportunity to be recognized twice! An entry can be recognized at the global level with a Grand Gold, Gold, Silver, or Bronze Circle of Excellence award. Then, each CASE global region (Asia-Pacific, Europe, and Latin America) and each U.S. district will consider nominations submitted by their local institutions for their “Best of” recognition.
Best of CASE District/Region awards will honor those whose impact at their institutions and passion for their work exemplify the best of the advancement profession in their district or region. The Best of CASE District/Region awards will be announced later this year.
Find inspiration for your own great work by viewing the winning entries.
