Join CASE for the Grow Giving Now Fly-In
CASE invites you to join CASE and other charitable organizations the Grow Giving Now Fly-In, Nov. 15-16, in Washington, D.C. During the Fly-In charitable leaders from around the country will visit with lawmakers to urge them to renew and expand the non-itemizer charitable deduction in year-end tax legislation. This event is hosted by the Charitable Giving Coalition.
In 2020, Congress enacted a temporary non-itemizer, or universal, charitable deduction into law. The proposal allowed American taxpayers who do not itemize their tax returns to deduct up to $300 in charitable donations ($600 for joint filers). The proposal expired on Dec. 31, 2021. CASE has been working with the CGC to urge Congress to renew and expand the non-itemizer deduction as a way to encourage all Americans to give more to educational institutions and other charitable organizations.
Registration for the Fly-In is free, though participants are responsible for their own travel and hotel if needed. If you have any questions, contact Brian Flahaven at flahaven@case.org.
