Meet Ann-Marie Thornton, New Advisory Committee Member
Ann-Marie Thornton, director of development and alumni relations of Community College of Baltimore County, has been named the newest member of the CASE Center for Community College Advancement Advisory Committee.
As director of development and alumni relations, Ann-Marie is responsible for raising philanthropic support for the Community College of Baltimore County's annual giving, alumni relations and major gifts programs. Serving as the primary resource for all cultivation, solicitation and donor relations initiatives for individuals, Ann-Marie is consistently engaged in prospect management, stewardship, relationship building and strategy development. She has been with the Community College of Baltimore County for more than seven years and recently worked with a team of volunteers including retirees, alumni, board members, faculty and staff to raise $57.3 million in capital, scholarship and program support for CCBC.
Ann-Marie is a graduate of Shippensburg University with a bachelor's in communications journalism and a master's from Bowie State University in organizational communications. She is a member of both CASE and AFP and currently serves as the chair of CASE Multicultural Advancement Professionals, as a member of the CASE District II Conference committee and as vice president of member services for AFP.
