New Executive Director of CASE Asia Pacific Appointed
After an extensive search, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education is excited to announce the appointment of Heather Hamilton as Executive Director of CASE’s Asia-Pacific region.
In this role, effective 6 January, Hamilton will oversee the development and delivery of CASE training and professional development programs and services that support alumni relations, advancement services, communications, fundraising and marketing professionals who work at educational institutions in the region.
“Heather's impressive background in educational advancement, along with her deep volunteer experience with CASE, makes her the ideal person to lead our team in Singapore and expand our activities throughout the region,” said CASE President and CEO Sue Cunningham.
Hamilton currently serves as the Executive Director of Advancement and Community Relations at Brisbane Grammar School, an all-boys school in the capital city of Queensland, on the eastern shore of Australia, where she leads a team of 10 professionals and manages relationships with 300 volunteers.
Prior to BGS, she served as the Director Annual Giving, Donor Relations, and Marketing and Communications (Advancement) at the University of Queensland and Director of External Relations at The University of Western Australia Business School. Earlier in her career she held positions within the corporate sector in marketing, communications, stakeholder relations, and human resources.
“I am very excited to be joining the CASE community,” Hamilton said. “As a global citizen, originally from Canada and having also lived and worked throughout Australia and Asia, the CASE vision to transform lives and society worldwide, very much resonates with me. The opportunities to further develop the regions membership and programming are immense.”
Within CASE, Hamilton has served as chair of the schools programme at the 2019 Asia-Pacific Annual Conference, as a member of the CASE Commission on Communications and Marketing, and as a conference speaker and volunteer at numerous CASE events.
Hamilton will be the third executive director in the Asia-Pacific region since CASE founded an office in Singapore in 2007. In the decade that has followed, CASE has successfully expanded its educational and networking opportunities, hosting major conferences, institutes and study tours in Singapore, Hong Kong SAR, Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
