VSE Briefing for Government Relations Staff
On March 5, CASE hosted a briefing on the 2018 Voluntary Support of Education survey results for government relations professionals in Washington, DC. Association and institution government relations staff and other advancement professionals heard about the latest trends in charitable giving to colleges and universities and what the new data means for charitable giving legislation on Capitol Hill.
Fred Weiss, Chief Research and Data Officer, and Ann Kaplan, Senior Director of the VSE program, provided an in-depth look at the key findings from the 2018 survey, including the types of giving and what gifts support at institutions.
Brian Flahaven, Senior Director for Advocacy, shared CASE resources and provided insight on how government relations staff can use survey data as a resource with lawmakers and staff. CASE members can download and view a recording of the briefing on the CASE Advocacy Network.
