Richard Li received his master's degree in education administration at The University of Texas at Austin. He is the deputy director at the University Foundation of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen), heading a small team to broaden the support base and enhance resource acquisition for the rapidly expanding CUHK-Shenzhen. CUHK-Shenzhen was established in accordance with the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools upon approval of the Ministry of Education. It admitted the first cohort of undergraduate students in 2014 and inherits the educational philosophy and academic systems of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
