Shawn Wax brings more than 20 years of experience to his role as vice president of main campus development at the University of Iowa Foundation. He oversees the fundraising efforts for the Henry B. Tippie College of Business, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Colleges of Engineering, Education, and Law, as well as the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and the arts campus.

Wax helped the University of Iowa surpass its $1.7 billion comprehensive campaign goal in March—nine months ahead of schedule. Prior to his current role, Wax served in leadership positions for the world-renowned Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Before joining the University of Iowa Foundation, Wax served as senior associate athletic director at the University of Illinois, where he also earned a bachelor's degree in political science.
