Sue has had a long and enjoyable career within HE and the public sector, having worked at the University of Reading as Head of Campaign & Supporter Engagement, where she led a team engaged in the management of communications, events, volunteers and donor relations to a global network of 270,000 alumni/supporters. Prior to her tenure at Reading, she served as Associate Director of Alumni Relations at University of Southampton, with its global network of over 200,000 alumni.  In addition to her role in Alumni Relations at Southampton, Sue was Head of Faculty Operations for two large faculties – Humanities and Medicine – and served as Business Change Manager for a major institutional change programme.

In addition to her experience in the academic sector, Sue has spent many years working for the UK government within both the Home Office & Foreign & Commonwealth Office in the UK and overseas including time spent working in Nigeria and Cyprus.

In addition to her dedication to promoting the strategic value of alumni engagement, Sue is a certified transformational coach, the proud mother of 3 daughters and has recently decided to reinvent herself as an enthusiastic hiker so expect to find her trying to find hills to climb in the Netherlands
