Towson University received the Silver award for its Arts & Culture Fall 2016 brochure. The overall size of the piece was just 4.5 w x 7 h, which made it instantly stand apart. The cover itself featured a bright yellow color, on a thick uncoated stock, with a die cut title revealing artistic elements underneath. We enjoyed the artistic simplicity of the piece, the layout of the text, and the simple die cut did an excellent job of compelling the viewer to open the piece and flip through it. The back cover was simple with just a mailing panel and return address. This piece would have earned a higher award with the judges, but pertinent, required information about budget and overall cost was left off the entry form.
