Diversity and Inclusion Initiative
About the entry
The Division of University Advancement embarked on a multi-faceted diversity and inclusion strategy comprised of research-based interventions targeting: (1) recruitment and hiring practices, (2) performance evaluations, (3) training and development programs, and (4) internal communication practices. Three years into the strategy, findings from a longitudinal study of the division's organizational climate indicate significantly positive results.
From the Judges' Report
This diversity program at Colorado State was a strong and varied diversity strategy comprised of many elements. The judges liked that measurable targets were laid out to easily measure the impact of the program. They also liked that the program was after real change on campus; not just paying lip service to the ideas behind diversity.
