Jeff Schiffman of Tulane may be among the only admission directors to introduce him- or herself to students in this informal yet engaging way. The video follows Jeff through a typical day, humanizes and personalizes the admissions process, and incorporates a sense of humor and approachability that may assuage any student trepidation about applying to or visiting Tulane. The video achieves the difficult goal of making a well-known long-standing and large institution feel new and vibrant, and shows the institution as a place where students are known and people are genuine. It also incorporates a highlight of the New Orleans area in a seamless way. The panel applauds Tulane for stepping outside the norm and taking a risk.
