Villanova launched its first-ever giving day in September 2017, setting out to celebrate all that makes Villanova great as the University celebrated its 175th Anniversary in 2017, and forged ahead in the final fiscal year of our comprehensive campaign, For the Greater Great: The Villanova Campaign to Ignite Change. To reach an ambitious alumni participation goal of 30% in the final year of the campaign, they strategically planned our giving day to take place early in September, hoping to jump-start our participation progress and engage all Villanovans in a philanthropic celebration during this milestone moment.

Judges’ were impressed by Villanova’s strategic roll out of its campaign. Similarly, judges’ were impressed by branding throughout the campaign. The commission was impressed by the overwhelming success Villanova’s campaign experienced, which was evident based on the projected results versus actual results; Villanova exceed donor goal in the first 6 hours of campaign.
