The BSF is a $100 million match from the university's Strategic Investment Fund to endow need-based, named scholarships. The match is fifty cents to the dollar for six-figure gifts and one to one for seven-figure gifts. Scholarships are named for the donor, e.g., the Smith Family Bicentennial Scholarship. Endowments can be funded over five years for six-figure gifts or three for seven-figure gifts to be eligible for the match.
