Looking to drive prospective students to attend our open house events, The College of Saint Rose created a humorous video that showcased some of the things they would see and learn about. The video works as an invitation, but also as an informational piece for those who may not be able to get to campus.

Used humor, which most videos do not. Subtle use of comedy almost bordering on slapstick at times. Almost like watching a “blooper reel.” The more we watched the video, the more we liked it. Did not take itself too seriously which might be a great appeal to teenagers. Although the production quality was shaky, judges decided that this was effective in making this seem less like a production and more like a student with his cellphone camera. Sometimes a less polished production can really deliver.
