While giving days are becoming increasingly common at educational institutions and non-profits, McGill's second annual day of giving, McGill24, which took place on March 15, 2017, retained the title of the largest fundraiser of its kind in Canada. IT raised almost $1.4 million from over 3,400 donations made by supporters around the world. This second edition of the campaign surpassed our first year's results by 75% in giving and 119% in total donations, which we attribute to the implementation of a matching/ challenge gift strategy.
