Forestry 101 is a welcome guide for all new students at Wake Forest. It was designed to walk them through everything they need to know and do before school starts, and to provide an early sense of their new home in way that can help take the edge off such a big transition.

Our judging panel agreed, unanimously, that this was a Grand Gold winner. It stood out to us early on as a major winner, but we did our due diligence, making sure we reviewed all entries carefully, before coming back to this entry and being even more certain our choice. Our observations:
This piece has gravitas and significance. We love the binding, the hard cover, the black cover with gold metallic artwork, the paper choice—and the overall keepsake quality.
It is clearly designed to the audience; we imagine students keeping this piece forever and showing it off to friends and family.
