From the Judges' Report
Judges enjoyed how Johns Hopkins University creatively used faculty and researchers to discuss the science behind popular holiday legends, such as whether Rudolph could really have a glowing red nose. The series included online stories, videos and press releases designed to gain national and international media attention for JHU and its research. The Holiday Science series was covered by the Washington Post, Seattle Times, CNN, National Public Radio and CBC. There were also more than 400,000 impressions and 77,000 video views of the series driven by media coverage and social media activity.
