Lehigh Communications re-conceptualized and redesigned the Matriculation Package for Admissions this winter. The Matriculation Package is the print piece mailed to all admitted students. It includes the acceptance letter, financial aid letter (if applicable), enrollment details, Admitted Student Event advertising and marketing materials.

This acceptance packet for students admitted to Lehigh generated lots of buzz among our review panel. Pieces within the folder—particularly the three brochures focusing on outcomes, student/academic life, and events for admitted students—scored high for substance and design: relevant content, beautiful photos, welcoming language, and a soft, pleasing paper stock. Judges were less impressed by the plain, brown folder itself, which felt too large and overly corporate and formal (“It reminds me of an oldfashioned desk blotter,” said a student panelist).
