In 2017, McGill University's advancement communications team launched McGill in My Ville, an e-newsletter made up of news about the university, alumni profiles and event listings and announcements. The e-newsletter is sent out in several editions—Toronto, Canada, U.S. and global—with the content and event listings tailored to each region.

The committee felt this newsletter was “perfect,” as several members noted. The complete, interesting design, specific stories and copy, along with the targeted use for sharing this newsletter (i.e., different versions for Canada, US, and other populations) were creative and “brilliant.”
