About the entry
"Mitchell Garabedian vs. the Catholic Church" profiles Boston attorney Mitchell Garabedian, who specializes in representing victims of clergy sexual abuse. In 2002, Garabedian represented 86 people who claimed to have been molested or raped as children by Father John J. Geoghan, a Catholic priest from Dorchester, Massachusetts.
From the Judges' Report
This story used a unique narrative structure, quoting the Boston attorney who prosecuted the Catholic sex abuse cases and victims, at length. This allowed the reader to almost take part in a conversation between Garabedian and his clients, rather than read the writer’s summary of events. Also, nice use of companion videos on the digital version.
